About Us: Bhavan’s Research Center, an ISO 17025 lab associated with Bhavan’s College requires a full-time Laboratory Assistant with the following competencies to execute the responsibilities enlisted below.
Designation- Laboratory Assistant
Qualification: BSc in Microbiology or any Biological Science
Competencies:
- Proficient in spoken, reading, and written English & Hindi languages. Additional Regional Language proficiency in Marathi and Gujarati is preferable.
- Should be skilled in commonly used computer programs like word, excel, and email communication and Internet search
- Having good organizational & supervisory skills
Job Description:
As BRC is ISO 17025 accredited, the candidate has to ensure all protocols are followed and documented as per the lab’s quality management system.
- Planning and executing media preparation as per the test requirement on a daily basis.
- Preparation of chemicals and other requirements (Glassware & plastic ware, PPEs, etc.) as per the test requirements on a daily basis.
- Sterilization & decontamination of media and other associated material on a daily basis, including disinfection of soiled test requirements.
- Manage the functioning of the cleaning and housekeeping staff.
- Manage lab inventories.
- Assist in maintenance, calibration, and in-house performance verification of lab equipment
- Perform quality checks and all scheduled activities with respect to laboratory equipment, environment, and other quality-related activities
- Assist in maintaining the samples received for tests
- Take up additional responsibilities and administrative support as per the requirements
Note:
- Initial appointment as a trainee for 3 months.
- Should show commitment to continuing with the job
