About Us: Bhavan’s Research Center (BRC), based out of Bhavan’s College, Andheri, is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited and BIS empaneled Microbiology laboratory, established with best practices in Microbiology to serve the needs of industry and society.
Over the years, BRC has gained expertise in the areas of hygiene & water microbiology and is looking to build further expertise in these areas by developing a robust virology & molecular biology department. To be able to do so, BRC is in search of a suitable candidate for the position of Technical Coordinator-Virology.
BRC requires Technical Coordinator- Virology with Job Specifications as below:
Job Brief: We are looking for an individual with expertise in virology and molecular biology to standardize and perform virucidal testing in accordance with established standards.
The selected candidate will also perform various related tasks, including regular cell
culture & virus bank maintenance, and running projects associated with
bacteriophage and molecular biology.
Qualification: M.Sc. (Life Sciences, Microbiology, Virology)
Job Specific Competencies:
- Hands-on experience working with cell culture and virus maintenance.
- Hands on experience in setting up virology related assays (such as virus titer determination, antiviral and virucidal assays)
- Sound knowledge of performing PCR based assays.
- High degree of compliance to set quality standards, including documentation.
Job Description:
- Plan & execute Virucidal testing, including documentation as per set quality and timelines.
- Work towards projects related to cell biology and bacteriophages.
- Coordinate with customers/clients to understand their requirements related to
virology and cell biology. - Perform all allied technical quality and administrative functions efficiently, with
full documentation. - Keep abreast with new requirements in BRC’s focus area and work towards
designing, standardizing and executing new protocols for testing
